Tree Faces

This session we concentrated on the importance of trees to mini beasts and how many hundreds of insects live there whole lives within an oak tree alone, never going anywhere else. We looked more closely at the trees around us and how they were all different. Some had very smooth bark while others were rough. We thought about how they are alive like us and how we breathed in oxygen but the trees ‘breathed’ it out.

We then worked with clay from the stream to give our trees faces. There was also of course more bug hunting!
